fall prevention and safety at home

At Apex Home Care, the safety of our clients are our number one priority. By incorporating fall prevention measures in the care plan of our patients, and by adequately training and placing caregivers in high fall risk cases, the number of falls among our patients are close to none.

Here at Apex Home Care, some of the measures we take to help reduce the fall risk in our vulnerable population include but are not limited to:

  • Home safety Check

  • Adequately Trained Staff

  • Team Approach to Fall Prevention

ASSISTANCE WITH ACTIVITIES OF DAILY LIVING

With our older population, everyday tasks that help maintain health can be difficult for some of them. Simple tasks such as dressing up, grooming, bathing and toileting can prove challenging especially if they are coping with chronic medical conditions and dealing with the side effects of cognitive and memory decline.

Our caregivers are exceptionally trained to help your loved ones remain as independent as possible in their home. All our caregivers go through a thorough background check as well.

TRANSPORTATION AND ERRANDS

When driving becomes challenging for your loved ones, they can rely on the expertise of our caregivers to safely provide transportation to various appointments and activities, such as:

Doctor Appointments | Worship Services | Senior Center | Fitness Classes | Club Events | Volunteer Meetings | Museums

LAUNDRY AND HOUSEKEEPING

When your loved ones can no longer accomplish the basic tasks of daily living without assistance, our caregivers provide home health assistance to improve daily life.

IN-HOME COMPANIONSHIP

Our Caregivers are mostly family members but even if they are not, they are like one of the family. They keep a watchful eye on the client and providing companionship and ensuring a quality home-life environment.

MEDICATION MANAGEMENT

When advanced health conditions require more specialized care, our home health aide program can be tailored to meet your specific needs and ensure your loved one’s quality of life.
